It’s not just about words

  • To build self esteem and self confidence
  • To stop behaviour(s) becoming disorders later in life
  • To identify the root cause of the problem and work with the family to find solutions to the issue
  • To empower the individual's needs and supporting who they are
  • To allow the individual to work through their own trauma / stress / issue or problem through their chosen modality
  • To prevent challenging behaviour increasing or commencing

Play your way

  1. Play therapy works through the voice of the inner child through play, which is markedly different from other traditional forms of therapy for traumatised individuals and people with challenging behaviour.
  2. Through play therapy we can identify the core issue and from there we can identify solutions. The family can be included to develop a holistic therapeutic approach, however this is just an option.
  3. Therapy doesn't need to be verbal, the inner child does not always know the words to use and in play you don't need to use words.
  4. Observing play you can identify what's happening for your inner child and what you need. It allows them to play out their issues in a safe environment.
  5. Expressivetherapies works with the individual's subconscious and allows these thoughts, emotions, to surface, to be worked through with the perception that the individual is the expert in they're life<meta name="google-site-verification" content="7lGbjGShwJCoBQ4Fqt8H8LlNsUE-tzz5o6t1BqcvGtE" />
